Our January speaker will be Steph Albano of Finati Our January speaker will be Steph Albano of Finatical Flyfishing - January 27, 2022 @7pm via Clubhouse & Zoom
Steph Albano is owner and operator of Finatical Flyfishing. Finatical Flyfishing has a unique business model as it is a fly fishing travel business for women, run by women.
Steph spent the bulk of her career at Carquest Auto Parts. She has held positions in national marketing, as Director of Distribution Center Operations and as a Financial Analyst helping store owners with their businesses. A mentor of Steph's in Denver encouraged her to strike out on her own and in 2019 she launched her own small business consulting company, Hatched Concepts. In May of 2021 she launched Finatical Flyfishing.
As an avid ‘weekend warrior’ on the river most of her life, Steph spends the best of her summer free time on the Henry’s Fork in Idaho. Steph has traveled and fished in Chile, Alaska, the Bahamas, Mexico, Cuba, the Seychelles, Belize, Christmas Island, Hawaii and throughout the western United States.
As Steph traveled to many of these remote locations and looked around on her home water of the Henry’s Fork, she began to see more women on the water. Her fly fishing experiences taught her that signing up for an international trip as the only woman in a group of twelve men is not always an ideal situation.
Steph’s firsthand experiences and those of her friends led her to believe that she could create flyfishing trips run by women for women. Thus, the birth of Finatical Flyfishing. Through this model she is seeing women enjoying new friendships, personal growth and the camaraderie that goes along with it. Finatical Flyfishing offers an alternative to serve the growing women’s flyfishing market.
